Thank you to everyone who's been instrumental in the formation of the North Sacramento Optometry Center.  North Sacramento and surrounding areas now have expanded access to vision care!

The Center is the vision of "That Guy" Eyewear owner, Dennis Peterson, who after a year on the Boulevard saw that the neighborhood was underserved in vision care. Four years later, a clinic offering eye exams and referrals to local opthamologists began serving the neighborhood.

The North Sacramento Optometry Center's mission is to help close the achievement gap among minority students.  If students do not receive an eye exam by the time they enter school, vision problems may be misdiagnosed as learning disorders. But if issues are identified in an early eye eam, correction can be made. It may be as simple as a pair of glasses. It may be as specialized as Vision Therapy (VT). VT is not usually covered by insurance. That's why the Center will be fundraising to help clients' pay for this treatment when we identify children who need Vision Therapy.

We are excited to see our new patients and to finally answer the questions we receive daily about whether or not we have a doctor. Yes, we do.
